Barnes Consulting Group Expands Team and Office Space

Barnes Consulting Group (BCG), a building consulting and project management firm, has been growing to meet the demand of its clients within the city of Boston and the surrounding areas. Steven Lockwood, a Junior Project Manager, joined BCG in the fall of 2018 to assist in the administration of complex envelope projects.

“The time was right to bring Steve onto the team to promote the growth of BCG.  He brings years of experience in the construction field and his eye for technical details is superb.” Stated Jeff Barnes, principal and owner of Barnes Consulting Group.

BCG has also moved to a larger location in Braintree, MA at the Olde Garrison Building.  The new space offers accommodations for higher business volume and also provides a more comfortable meeting environment for clients.  It took quite a bit of time and research to find the right space that provided the character, ease of access, and space needed for BCG to call their new home.

“After growing up in Braintree, it felt right to come back to establish my business roots.  The office is centrally located on Washington St and there is easy access to the major routes.” Says Barnes.

Barnes got his start in the construction industry in the mid-90s as a laborer and moved up the ranks.  He graduated cum laudefrom UMass Boston with a Bachelor’s degree, and has a Building Technology certificate from Northeastern University. He has obtained his CSL and is also OSHA 30 certified.

Jeff Barnes and his growing team are excited about the new ventures 2019 has to offer, and their increased ability to take on more projects than ever before.
