Jeff Barnes started his career in the early 90’s working part-time as a field engineer and researcher at CBI Consulting. By the late 90’s, he had taken an interest in the construction field and joined the labor union at Contracting Specialists (CSI).
In 2004, he reconnected with CBI Consulting as a full-time field engineer and quickly rose to project manager. After seven years with CBI and a few years at Atlantic Restoration as Senior Project Manager, Jeff became fed up with the way the construction industry was being handled – and knew he could do better. Thus, Barnes Consulting group (BCG) was born in 2012.
BCG was based on everything Jeff felt the industry could be – honest and practical guidance with cost effectiveness in mind. Jeff had worked alongside contractors long enough to know that fairness, honesty, and responsiveness, would go a long way in this industry.
Since Jeff started his firm, the company has grown to have worked on hundreds of projects within the Boston area. His determination to provide the right kind of consulting that his clients are looking for – has grown his business to a full-time staff and a head office in Braintree, Massachusetts. Their team has years of expertise ranging from commercial, industrial, educational, and residential projects.
Steve is a junior project manager for Barnes Consulting Group, LLC., Braintree, Massachusetts, where he works on projects in the greater Boston and New England area. He holds an A.S. and B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Steve’s professional background is wide in range from residential design to steel fabrication and shop drawings for custom millwork to site civil engineering and land surveying. Along with that, over fifteen years of management experience. He is also a licensed home inspector in the state of Massachusetts.
